    Dangote Cement Empowers Kogi In Fight Against Insecurity

    The Dangote Cement Plc has strengthened the capacity of Kogi State to enable it fight vestiges of insecurity and criminalities.

    To this extent, the cement conglomerate has donated some motorcycles to the Lokoja Local Government Area.

    A statement issued on Tuesday by the spokesman, Abubakar Jibril stated that

    The motorcycles were presented by the Plant Director, Dangote Cement Plc, Obajana, Engr. Azad Nawabuddin, to the Executive Chairman of the Lokoja Local Government Area, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu.

    Speaking at event, Engr. Azad commended the state government and Executive Chairman of the Local Government for their sustained effort to ride the state of insecurity and criminalities.

    The donation of the motorcycles, he noted, will go a long way in aiding the capacity of the Local Government and the state in combating criminalities.

    In his response, the Executive Chairman expressed his happiness on the gesture and extend his appreciation to Alhaji Aliko Dangote for this support.

    The chairman also commended Engr Azad for facilitating the good gesture, while assuring him of continuing support of the Local Government Area, adding that Dangote Cement Plant is not only an asset to the Local Government but to the state and Nigeria as a whole.

    “The presence of the company has helped transformed the local government,” he said.
