Yakubu Aiyegbeni on Arsenal’s Path to Premier League Title

    Published on

Former Everton forward Yakubu Aiyegbeni has offered strategic advice to Arsenal on how to end their 21-year wait for a Premier League title.

Arsenal’s recent 2-1 victory over North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on January 15 has reignited hopes among fans, as the Gunners now sit just four points behind league leaders Liverpool.

However, Aiyegbeni believes that Arsenal must address a critical issue in their squad to achieve title glory: the need for an additional striker.

Reflecting on Arsenal’s recent performances, the Nigerian football icon observed:
“Over the last three years, Arsenal have applied pressure on dominant teams like Manchester City. Right now, City aren’t at their best, but Arsenal need a striker to truly challenge for the league. Once they get one, I believe they can push Liverpool to the end.”

Aiyegbeni’s comments follow Arsenal’s strong start to the season, with fans optimistic about their chances of finally clinching the title last won in 2004.

Looking ahead, Arsenal face Aston Villa on Saturday in a crucial fixture. Aiyegbeni’s advice serves as a reminder to the club’s management that enhancing their attacking options could be the key to Premier League success this season
