In the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), Super Eagles interim coach Augustine Eguavoen is confident the team will qualify.

The most recent CHAN, which was held by Algeria, did not include Nigeria.

In the last qualifying round, Ghana, the Eagles’ longtime rivals, defeated them.

They are competing against the Black Galaxies for a spot at CHAN 2024 as well.

The first leg of the qualifier was played on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium, where both nations fought to a 0-0 draw.

The reverse fixture will happen at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Saturday.

“I am 100% sure that this time around we will turn it around (vs Ghana),” Eguavoen told Kennis FM

“I am absolutely confident we will qualify for the CHAN.

“We’ll just hope for the best, but the boys are eager to go and will fulfill their promise.”
