    Known terrorist Munzur Ya Audu is killed by Nigerian army in Yobe

    Munzur Ya Audu, a renowned terrorist commander, was murdered by Nigerian Army troops in Yobe State.

    Major General Edward Buba, the Director of Defense Media Operations, announced Ya Audu’s capture during a news briefing in Abuja on Thursday.

    According to Buba, troops were also actively pursuing terrorist logistics facilities and other establishments connected to terrorist organizations.

    He claimed that attempts had been made to eliminate the terror groups’ networks and undermine their capabilities.

    Additionally, forces found 3,825 rounds of ammo and 145 different weapons, including two PKT guns, a GPMG, 68 AK47 rifles, two AK56 rifles, and 24 fake rifles, Buba said.

    28 Dane firearms, one fake revolver pistol, six locally manufactured handguns, one hand grenade, four fake hand grenades, one RPG bomb, three explosives, and one pistol were also found.

    “Others include 129 live cartridges, 28 shotgun cartridges, 500 empty cases of MG ammunition, 147 empty cases of 7.62mm ammunition, 2,093 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, 246 rounds of 7.62mm NATO, and 317 rounds of 7.62mm GPMG/PKM ammunition.”
