Kizz Daniel: Give up chasing numbers, informs coworkers

    Published on

Daniel Anidugbe, better known by his stage name Kizz Daniel, is a Nigerian singer who has advised his peers to give up trying to reach the top of the charts on streaming services.

He urged them to concentrate on their craft, emphasizing that the popularity of songs on some streaming services doesn’t necessarily translate to other platforms.

“Stop worrying about social media algorithms and concentrate on your art.” I doubt you have heard of a man named Killer Mike. Grammy winner four times.

“Stop chasing the number one song; it’s mediocre now. Everything is under your control. The majority of those songs’ numbers don’t match up on other platforms. “Check,” he wrote.

Kizz Daniel explained in a different post that while he isn’t opposed to using bots to increase streams because it’s a marketing tactic, it’s not for well-known artists.

He claimed that his role was to support up-and-coming musicians in releasing their music without worrying about it failing to catch on with streaming services, not to disparage his peers.

It’s marketing, for placement and everything, so farming isn’t illegal. But for whom does the money go?

“Our goal is to encourage the younger generation to uncover those undiscovered treasures, not to disparage everyone here before the beginning. I’ll discover,” Daniel wrote.
