    Kogi varsity dismisses four lectures for exam malpractices, sexual harrasment

    The Governing Council of the Federal University, Lokoja has approved the dismissal of four of lecturers on the account of examination misconduct and sexual harrasment.

    It was gathered that the governing council of the university gave the approval at second council meeting held at the campus on Thursday.

    This is coming on the heel of the investigation following allegations of examination malpractices and sexual harassment leveiled against the lecturers sometimes last year.

    The Council, under the leadership of Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba at the Second Council meeting appreciated the Management for following due process in the investigation that followed the allegations of examination misconduct and sexual harassment against the lecturers.

    The council promised that it will not tolerate any act of unethical conduct in the University.

    The Council urged the University to quickly process the remaining cases of misconducts pending, especially the one in the faculty of Science that is trending in the newspapers.

    The Council notes with emphasis that it will not sweep any act of misconduct under the carpet, cautioned the staff and lecturers, urged the students to also speak out when they are molested.
