Pastor Adeboye: Oil gangs opposing Dangote Refinery

    Published on

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has revealed a purported plot by a Nigerian oil cabal and international oil companies (IOCs) to sabotage the operations of private refineries such as Dangote Petroleum Refinery.

Adeboye urged Nigerians to pray for divine intervention against the acts of dishonest oil marketers who are determined to cause misery for the people during his speech at the Abuja Special Holy Ghost service in November 2024.

Following earlier instances of sabotage that affected Nigeria’s four state-owned refineries, the cleric claimed that oil marketers are making a concerted effort to impede the refinery’s operations.

After numerous failed attempts to revitalise the nation’s four public refineries, which had wasted billions of Naira with little success, Pastor Adeboye reminded the crowd that God was the one who prompted Aliko Dangote to build a refinery.

“Are we under a curse?” he asked, “We have four refineries, we poured all kinds of money into them, none of them are working.” “But God raised someone to build a refinery that works. He is not my relative; he is not from my village.”

Pastor Adeboye reminded the congregation that God inspired Aliko Dangote to build a refinery after numerous unsuccessful attempts to revive the country’s four public refineries, which had wasted billions of Naira with minimal success. Nigeria is a major producer of crude oil.

“Why should my people suffer when I have the means to build a refinery that can work?” asks one Nigerian, who is not even a Christian. Some individuals want to prevent him from selling the petrol he is purifying so they can continue importing.

An agreement has been made between Dangote Refinery and the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) to sell petrol directly to its members .Nigerians continue to purchase petrol at NNPC stations and other retail locations for N1060 and N1200.
