On Monday, while visiting the government house in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, Obasanjo expressed his support.

Despite the difficulties of the campaign path, Obasanjo praised Aiyedatiwa for his dedication to engaging the public and articulating his vision for the state.

Obasanjo commended Aiyedatiwa’s bravery in introducing his goals and programs to the public, as well as his efforts and tenacity.

During his remarks, the former president wished the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) luck in the election.

“I am aware of the difficulties you are facing at this time. I recall running in the 1999 election. In a single day, I traveled to all six of the South West’s states.

“I believe we began at Akure, Ondo State, and then traveled to Ekiti before arriving in Lagos at approximately 8:00 p.m. “I wish you all the best, and this is an important step in the process,” the former president remarked.

The former president’s contributions to Nigeria’s growth were praised by Aiyedatiwa, who also said that his accomplishments would never be forgotten.

He claimed that Obasanjo maintained his humility and compassion as a leader in spite of his notoriety and military experience.
