    NEMA saves five people from collapsed building in Ibadan

    According to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), at least five individuals were successfully rescued from the collapsed building in Ibadan by the agency working with pertinent partners.

    This announcement was made by NEMA in a statement released on Thursday.

    The tragedy that took place in Ibadan’s Jegede neighborhood claimed the lives of a few persons.

    In response to a query, NEMA’s South West Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Kadiri Olanrewaju, stated that the organization was notified of a distress warning on Thursday.

    Five (5) people, including one (1) adult man, two (2) adult females, and two (2) children, were saved alive thanks to the coordinated efforts of response stakeholders.

    For prompt medical attention, these victims were sent to the Mercyland Clinic and Maternity Center. Regretfully,  Ten (10) persons lost their lives in the incident.

    “One victim was unconscious and was taken to Adeoyo General Hospital in Temetu, Ibadan, while another adult victim was released from the hospital,” he said.
