Troops from the 6 Brigade of the Nigerian Army have disrupted a significant logistics supply chain to terrorists in Taraba State by apprehending a key supplier.

Arrest in Lau Local Government Area

The operation occurred near Bunka Village in Lau Local Government Area, where the logistics supplier, identified as Musa Inusa, was arrested. According to Captain Olubodunde Oni, the Brigade’s spokesman, Inusa is believed to have been providing essential supplies and materials to terrorist groups operating in the region. His arrest is expected to significantly weaken the operational capabilities of these groups.

    Recovered Items

During the operation, the troops recovered several items from Inusa, including a jackknife, ₦2,460, wraps of a substance suspected to be Indian hemp, and other illicit drugs.

    Bandit Arrests in Karim Lamido

In a related development, the Army also arrested three bandits in Jeb-Jeb, a border community with Plateau State, located in the Karim Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State. The suspects—Adamu Abubakar, Mohammed Bello, and Musa Adamu—are believed to be linked to various criminal activities, including armed robberies, kidnappings, and violent assaults on local communities.

These arrests form part of the 6th Brigade’s broader efforts to combat the increasing tide of inter-state criminality within its area of operations. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects have been active in the region for several years, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend additional members of the criminal syndicate.
