The 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, has criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) under President Bola Tinubu, accusing it of worsening Nigeria’s poverty and hunger crisis. Speaking at the NNPP’s 7th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja, Kwankwaso claimed the APC is failing to address security challenges and that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is losing relevance due to internal strife.

Kwankwaso emphasized the NNPP’s rapid growth, describing it as the only viable party capable of delivering true leadership and meeting Nigerians’ needs. He argued that the APC leadership is disconnected from the reality of citizens’ struggles, while the PDP is “falling apart and imploding.”

NNPP leaders, including the party’s Board of Trustees Chairman, Buba Galadima, and National Chairman, Dr. Ajuji Ahmed, expressed confidence in the party’s expansion and leadership quality, positioning the NNPP as a rising force in Nigerian politics.
