The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed Justin Madugu as the interim head coach of the Super Falcons, following the resignation of Randy Waldrum for personal reasons. Here are five essential facts about Madugu’s background and qualifications:

1. Former Assistant Coach: Justin Madugu served as an assistant coach under Randy Waldrum, gaining valuable experience within the national setup.

2. Previous Stint He had a brief tenure with the Super Falcons last year after Nigeria’s campaign at the FIFA Women’s World Cup, showcasing his familiarity with the team’s dynamics.

3. Olympic Success: Madugu successfully led the team during the qualifiers for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, achieving victory against Ethiopia over two legs.

4. Coaching Qualifications He holds CAF A and B coaching licenses and has participated in various coaching courses, including the NFF/CAF Football Coaching Course, Tiki Taka Football Development Course, and the National Football Coach Seminar.
