Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has inaugurated a nine-member visitation panel to evaluate the performance of Redeemer’s University in Ede, Osun State. This initiative aims to assess the institution’s progress over the past five years, as outlined by the university’s governing laws.

According to Mr. Adetunji Adeleye, Deputy Director of Corporate Affairs at the university, Adeboye approved the panel’s formation to ensure compliance with university regulations requiring such assessments at five-year intervals. The panel was inaugurated by Pastor Olukayode Pitan, Chairman of the university’s Board of Trustees (BoT), on September 17 in Lagos.

Pitan noted that the last visitation occurred in 2019 and expressed hope that the current assessment would aid the university in achieving further advancements. Prof. Shadrach Akindele, Vice-Chancellor of the university, highlighted the opportunity for the institution to reflect on both successes and areas needing improvement.

Chairman of the Visitation Panel, Prof. Femi Mimiko, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in the panel. He emphasized the importance of collaboration from the university community and stakeholders to facilitate a thorough evaluation covering the period from January 2019 to December 2023, which is expected to conclude within eight weeks.

Panel members include notable figures such as Prof. Ernest Izevbigie, former Vice-Chancellor of Benson Idahosa University, and Dr. Linda Onwuka, former Registrar of the Federal University of Petroleum, among others.
