The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called on the government to urgently address issues of insecurity, economic hardship, and social division. This appeal was made in a message from CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, who issued the statement in Abuja to extend Eid-ul-Maulud greetings to Muslims celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Archbishop Okoh urged Nigerian leaders to prioritize policies aimed at alleviating the suffering of the population and ensuring justice and equity. He emphasized the need for the government to implement measures that would effectively tackle these critical issues and promote national stability and prosperity.
