Toby Forge, a recently evicted housemate from BBNaija Season 9, opened up about his eviction on August 18, 2024. He believes his eviction was a result of his decision to evict the Ndi Nne pair—Nne and Chinne—during his time as custodian in the house.
Forge explained that the show is highly strategic, and his eviction might have been influenced by his competitive nature and the decisions he made while in the house. “It’s a game, you plan, you strategize, and then you pick out the people that can threaten your chances of winning,” he said. He suggested that his eviction was driven by three main factors: the removal of the popular Ndi Nne pair, his involvement in a love triangle between housemates Mayor, Rhuthee, and Handi, and his competitive streak, which may have intimidated other contestants.
Reflecting on his time in the house, Forge revealed that he didn’t initially have a strategy but quickly adapted when he realized the game’s intensity. This led to the joint decision with his partner, Mayor Frosh, to evict the Ndi Nne pair, a move that ultimately backfired.
Forge also discussed his relationship with Kassia of the DoubleKay pair, admitting that he felt deceived but also acknowledged his genuine feelings for her. “Honestly, I did like her—stubborn, short, cute, pretty, and intelligent. I thought it was going to lead somewhere… If there were any feelings, I think it’s over now cos she’s married. I don’t think I want to destroy homes,” he said.
Forge highlighted his proudest moment on the show as winning the custodian challenge with his partner, Frosh. However, his lowest point was being nominated for eviction during the first week. He likened the emotional rollercoaster of that experience to “Ronaldo scoring a free kick in the 90th minute.”
