    **Osinbajo Discusses Buhari’s Strategy to Alleviate Poverty**

    Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has emphasized the Federal Government’s commitment to exploring innovative approaches to reduce poverty in Nigeria. He highlighted this during a meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) Steering Committee on Human Capital Development held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday.

    **APC National Assembly Primaries Proceed with Heightened Security in Lagos**

    In Badagry, Lagos State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) held its senatorial primaries with significant voter participation. The News Agency of Nigeria observed that security personnel were present at numerous polling centers, ensuring a peaceful voting process as party members gathered to cast their votes.

    **PDP Presidential Primaries: Sokoto Delegates Divided Between Tambuwal and Bafarawa**

    As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gears up for its presidential primaries in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, delegates from Sokoto State are reportedly split between two candidates: former Governor Attahiru Bafarawa and the current governor, Aminu Tambuwal. Both are among the 13 contenders vying for the party’s nomination.

    **Oshiomhole Meets with APC Governors**

    The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, held a meeting with the party’s governors at his campaign office on Aso Drive, Abuja. Prior to this, the governors had a separate meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

    **Nigerian Customs Seize Military Gear and Bulletproof Vehicles**

    The Nigeria Customs Federal Operations Unit, Zone ‘A’, intercepted a bus on the Ijebu-Ode expressway containing two large sacks filled with military uniforms and boots. The white Hiace bus, registered under Chimezie Motors Nigeria Limited, was seized on Wednesday.

    **NJC Recommends Dismissal of Two Judges Amid Corruption Probe**

    The National Judicial Council (NJC), led by Chief Justice Walter Onnoghen, has recommended the removal of two judges, Justice R. N. Ofili-Ajumogobia of the Federal High Court and Justice James T. Agbadu-Fishim of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, due to corruption charges. Additionally, 26 other judges are under investigation.
