Reality TV star Josephine Ijeoma Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has voiced her concerns about Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina’s involvement in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant.

Adetshina, who has Nigerian and Mozambican roots, had previously withdrawn from the Miss South Africa 2024 contest amid controversy over her nationality, despite reaching the Top 11. She recently announced her participation in Miss Universe Nigeria through a video shared by the pageant organizers.

Phyna took to X to express her reservations, suggesting that Adetshina’s participation might affect the opportunities of “typical Nigerian queens” who have been diligently preparing for the competition.
