Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy has officially launched a football academy with training centers across Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt. The academy is designed to foster young talent, offering a program that combines football fundamentals with education, discipline, and technique, aiming to prepare players for success both on and off the field.

Open to players aged 4-15 and 16-21, the academy provides training sessions three days a week, each lasting two hours. It has partnered with top-tier football clubs, including Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City, Brighton, and Watford from England, as well as Hearts and Hamilton from Scotland.

The academy emphasizes the importance of sports education alongside academic pursuits, actively engaging parents in the process. With centers in Lekki and Surulere in Lagos, as well as Abuja and Port Harcourt, the academy has already shown promising results, with four wins, two defeats, and a draw in seven friendly matches.

Burna Boy’s initiative represents a significant investment in nurturing young football talent in Nigeria, offering a pathway for aspiring players to develop their skills and pursue a future in the sport.
