Nollywood actress Caroline Hutchins Danjuma has voiced her concern about the severe economic difficulties facing Nigerians, following a recent visit to the Sunday market in Ogba, Lagos State.

In an Instagram post, Danjuma shared her shock at the high prices of food items, noting that a tuber of yam costs ₦10,000, a paint bucket of potatoes is priced at ₦9,000, a bag of rice is ₦85,000, and two pieces of Titus fish are ₦5,000. She expressed deep sadness over these escalating costs and questioned how Nigerians are managing the burden of such expenses.

Recounting her experience, Danjuma mentioned that she was so disheartened by the situation that she ended up shopping for her domestic staff as well. She conveyed her empathy for the masses and suggested that mental and emotional therapy sessions might be beneficial given the current hardships. Danjuma offered to initiate such sessions to support those affected by the economic strain.
