A police inspector identified as Dasu Kassa has been found dead in Anguwan Yungur, Girei Local Government Area, Adamawa State. The incident occurred on Monday evening after Kassa returned from a hospital visit in Yola, the state capital.

Sources suggest that financial difficulties and mounting medical expenses may have played a role in Kassa’s tragic decision. The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed the death and is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding it.

SP Suleiman Nguroje, spokesperson for the Adamawa State Police Command, stated, “The inspector was discovered deceased, and we are investigating to determine the exact circumstances that led to his death.”

In a separate incident, a police sergeant named Sunday Wadzani has allegedly killed his father in Maiduguri, Borno State. The shooting occurred on Sunday near the State Police Command headquarters in Modugannari.

Sergeant Wadzani, who is assigned to the Borno State House of Assembly, has been detained by authorities and is currently held at the GRA Police Station.
