Youths under the United Youths for Good Government and Grassroot Progressive (UYAGP) have endorsed Comrade Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf for the Chairmanship of Kagarko Local Government Council under the All Progressive Congress (APC). This follows Section 25 (1) of the Kaduna State Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Law 2024, which governs Local Government Council Elections in the state.

Comrade Tanko Ayuba, President of UYAGP, announced the endorsement, highlighting Yusuf’s extensive service and leadership, particularly as a youth leader in Abuja. Known as ‘Buhu Barkonun Abuja’ and holding the title of Sarkin Tausayi of Dnata, Yusuf is recognized for his advocacy and leadership.

The group, referring to Yusuf as the ‘Abuja Youths Advocate (Mai fada yayi),’ demonstrated their support with banners stating “Comrade Yusuf, #KagarkonaBuhunBarkonu we know#.”

“His unwavering commitment to advocating for women and children, both locally and nationally, makes him the ideal candidate to lead Kagarko LGC,” Ayuba said. “We call on our Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, to support the people’s choice for more grassroots development.”
