Peter Obi Inaugurates Multi-Million Naira Borehole Project in Ankpa Community

    Published on

Peter Obi, former governor and presidential candidate, has inaugurated a multi-million Naira borehole project in the Ankpa community. This initiative aims to provide clean and reliable water access to the residents of the area.

The commissioning ceremony saw a significant turnout of community members who expressed their gratitude for the much-needed development. The borehole project, funded through public and private sector collaboration, is expected to address the long-standing water scarcity issues in Ankpa.

In his speech, Obi highlighted the importance of sustainable water sources for community health and economic development. He emphasized that access to clean water is a fundamental human right and a critical component of his broader vision for national development.

“This borehole project is a testament to what can be achieved when communities and leaders work together. It’s a step towards improving the quality of life for the residents of Ankpa,” Obi stated.

The Ankpa community leaders also praised Obi’s efforts, noting that the borehole would significantly reduce the burden of water collection, especially for women and children.

The project includes multiple water points to ensure widespread access and is equipped with solar panels to guarantee continuous operation, even in the absence of electricity.

Residents of Ankpa are hopeful that this development will lead to further infrastructural improvements and enhance their overall living conditions.
