In celebration of Eid el Kabir, the Miranda Asheazi Ombugadu (MAO) Foundation, led by the wife of the Nasarawa state PDP governorship candidate, has distributed gift packs worth ₦5 million and ₦1 million in cash to Muslim women across Nasarawa State. This initiative supports the Muslim community during their festive celebrations.

The distribution occurred on Tuesday across the state’s three geopolitical zones, including the PDP party secretariat on Jos Road in Lafia for the Southern Zone, Unity House Akwanga for the Northern Zone, and Ombugadu Campaign Office at New Nyanya for the Western Zone. The effort aimed to ensure that women from various localities within the three senatorial districts received the gifts.

Each gift pack contained rice, spaghetti, and seasoning cubes, essential items for festive preparations. “Eid el Kabir is a time of sharing and giving, and we at the MAO Foundation believe in spreading joy and supporting our community. This initiative is our way of joining our Muslim sisters in their celebrations,” said Miranda Asheazi Ombugadu, Chief Executive Director of the foundation.

Asheazi Ombugadu emphasized the foundation’s dedication to social welfare. “Our foundation is dedicated to uplifting the lives of the people in our community. This Eid el Kabir, we chose to focus on the women who play a crucial role in their families and communities,” she added.

The distribution process was conducted smoothly, with volunteers ensuring the gifts reached the intended recipients. The MAO Foundation coordinated with local leaders to identify the women who would benefit the most from the initiative.

“We are all part of one community, and it is our collective responsibility to support and uplift each other. Eid Mubarak to all our Muslim sisters, may this festive season bring you peace and happiness,” Asheazi Ombugadu wished, expressing a message of unity and goodwill.

The foundation’s efforts were met with appreciation from the beneficiaries. Amina Abdullahi, a recipient from the Nasarawa South senatorial zone, expressed her gratitude, stating, “This gift means a lot to me and my family. It shows that we are remembered and supported, especially during this special time of the year.”

Another beneficiary, Fatima Musa from the Nasarawa North senatorial zone, remarked, “The rice, spaghetti, and seasoning cubes will significantly help us prepare for Eid. The cash gift is an added blessing that will assist us further.” The MAO Foundation’s initiative is part of its broader mission to support vulnerable groups in society, particularly women and children.
