Ahmed Bakare, a public commentator from Zamfara State, has criticized the introduction of the new national anthem, arguing that it does not address the pressing needs of Nigerians. Speaking to reporters in Gusau, the state capital, Bakare expressed concern over the widespread hunger and starvation in the country, urging the Tinubu administration to prioritize addressing these urgent issues.

Bakare emphasized, “The Federal Government should be mindful of the severe economic hardship facing Nigerians.” He pointed out that singing the National Anthem requires strength, which can only come from having access to food. Therefore, he urged the government to focus on projects that directly benefit the common man.

Despite his criticisms, Bakare encouraged Nigerians to continue praying fervently for peace to be restored in the country. He emphasized the importance of unity and collective efforts in overcoming the challenges facing Nigeria.
