    VP Shettima, other big wigs for Ilorin Saturday to honour Olaolu Ali

    Vice President Kashim Shettima is billed to visit Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, this Saturday to attend the 30th anniversary celebration of Ghalib Chambers, the Law Office of Mallam (Professor) Yusuf Olaolu Ali, SAN.

    Also expected on the occasion are the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN; the Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, and former Governor of Lagos Srate, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN.

    A statement made available to newsmen in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, on Sunday, by Mr. Kunle Akogun, on behalf of the Organising Committee, indicated that the Ghalib Chambers’ 30th anniversary, which holds at the Banquet Hall, Ilorin, will feature a special lecture on ‘Presidential or Parliamentary System of Government: Where is the Convergence?’ to be delivered by former Governor Raji Fashola of Lagos State.

    The statement added that the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, will be the Host, while the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, is the Royal Host.

    Other programmes lined up for the celebration include a novelty football match between Ghalib Chambers and Kwara NUJ team on Thursday, 30th May 2024, at the Kwara State Stadium Ilorin, and Dinner & Award Night on Friday, 31st May 2024.
