In Kaduna’s Magistrates’ Court in Kafanchan, John Simon and Yusuf Nikie have been remanded in prison custody after admitting guilt to the theft of a motorcycle. The magistrate, Michael Bawa, postponed sentencing until May 2.

Simon and Nikie faced prosecution by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps on two charges: conspiracy and theft.

According to the prosecutor, Marcus Audu, Tanko Umaru, the complainant, reported the incident to the corps’ office in Kafanchan on April 13. Audu stated that the defendants entered Umaru’s residence at Bakin Kogi and stole his Bajaj motorcycle. Following an investigation, the defendants were apprehended, and the motorcycle was recovered from their possession.
