The Kaduna State House of Assembly has launched a thorough investigation into the loans acquired during the tenure of former Governor Nasir El-Rufai, spanning from 2015 to 2023.

The decision to initiate the probe was prompted by remarks made by the state governor, Uba Sani, on March 28, 2024, regarding the financial state of the state. As a result, a 13-member committee has been established to delve into the financial dealings, loans, grants, and project implementations during the specified period.

This move underscores the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring transparency and accountability in governance, as well as addressing concerns regarding the financial management practices of the previous administration.
