Nigerian singer Stanley Omah Didia, better known as Omah Lay, has opened up about a surprising assumption he held regarding his colleague, Davido.

He confessed to previously believing that Davido harbored animosity towards him.

This revelation comes in light of recent events where Davido publicly expressed admiration for Omah Lay’s music during a conversation with American content creator Kai Cenat, who was visiting Nigeria. Davido played Omah Lay’s song “Reason” for Cenat and highlighted the artist’s talent.

Responding to the interaction, Cenat praised Omah Lay, to which the singer jokingly admitted feeling intimidated, saying, “I am scared of you bro.”

Taking to social media platform X, Omah Lay expressed his surprise, stating, “I’ve always thought OBO hated me!”

Omah Lay, who began his music career at the age of fifteen, gained widespread recognition in 2020 with the release of his hit singles “You” and “Bad Influence.” Since then, he has solidified his position in the Nigerian music industry with his unique musical style.

In 2022, Omah Lay revealed his struggles with depression while working on his debut album, ‘Boy Alone,’ further showcasing the depth and complexity of his artistry.
