    Dr. Adaora Anyanwutaku Bids Farewell to the Police Service Commission, Expresses Gratitude for Support

    In a grand ceremony held at the Corporate Headquarters of the Police Service Commission in Jabi, Abuja, Dr. Adaora Ifeoma Anyanwutaku, Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Police Service Commission, bid farewell to her illustrious career in the public service. The valedictory event, held on Friday, February 2nd, 2024, marked the culmination of Dr. Anyanwutaku’s dedicated service to her fatherland, as she officially retired after turning 60 on Saturday, January 3rd.

    During the ceremony, Dr. Anyanwutaku expressed her heartfelt gratitude to President [President’s Name] for the opportunity to serve her country. She also extended her appreciation to the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation for recognizing her capabilities and recommending her as a Permanent Secretary in the nation’s highest bureaucracy.

    In her emotional address, Dr. Anyanwutaku acknowledged the unwavering support and guidance provided by Dr. Solomon Arase, the Chairman of the Commission and retired Inspector General of Police. She credited his leadership for enabling her to navigate her role effectively and fulfill the Commission’s mandate.

    With a sense of fulfillment, Dr. Anyanwutaku thanked God for the good health and grace she enjoyed throughout her public service career. She expressed her admiration for the staff of the Commission, emphasizing their love and support, while urging them to extend the same warmth to her successor.

    “I am grateful for the immense support from the Honorable Chairman, Commissioners of the Commission, Directors, and staff. Their unwavering support greatly aided me in fulfilling our mandate. I also appreciate the support of the critical stakeholders, particularly the Nigeria Police Force, which provided me with the wings to soar,” Dr. Anyanwutaku expressed.

    Following the handover of her responsibilities, Aminu Malumfashi, Director of the Department of Police Investigation, assumed the role of overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary. In his acceptance speech, Malumfashi expressed gratitude to God for the glorious end to Dr. Anyanwutaku’s career and wished her success in her future endeavors. He pledged to serve with humility and ensure the smooth functioning of the Commission until a new Permanent Secretary is appointed.

    Dr. Solomon Arase, who was on official assignment outside Abuja, conveyed his well wishes to Dr. Anyanwutaku for a rewarding retirement from the Public Service. He expressed confidence in her ability to excel in her future endeavors.

    The ceremony was attended by Chief Onyemuche Nnamani, Honourable Commissioner in the Commission, as well as other Directors and Staff of the Police Service Commission. The event concluded with a thanksgiving service and reception in Abuja, where Dr. Anyanwutaku was honored for her distinguished service.

    As Dr. Adaora Anyanwutaku embarks on the next chapter of her life, her legacy of dedication, professionalism, and commitment to public service will continue to inspire others within the Police Service Commission and beyond.
