    Commercial motorcyclist,one other killed in Kogi Auto crash

    Two persons have died in a ghastly motor accident that occured along Ogori – Magongo road in Kogi State.

    Ogori/Magongo local government area is in the Central Senatorial district of the state

    It was gathered that the incident happened at about on Thursday afternoon.

    It was further learnt that one victim of the accident died immediately as a result of the fatal accident, while the other who happened to be female was said to be unconscious, rushed to Ogori General Hospital, but later died from the injuries sustained.

    One of the deceased victim, according to our findings was identified as John Aisoni a commercial motor cyclist that shuttles between Ogori and Magongo
    while the other is working in a micro finance bank in the same Local Government.

    Eyewitness account traced the cause of incident to over speeding.

    The Kogi State Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corp, (FRSC)
    Oyedeji Samuel Sunday confirmed the incident to our correspondent on Friday afternoon.

    He attributed the accident to wrong overtaking and overspending.

    According to him, “The accident was between a commercial motor cyclist and a Toyota Venza car. There was wrong over taking which led to this ghastly motor accident. Two person have been confirmed dead and has since be deposited in morgue in nearby Edo State while the other person is receiving treatment at Ogori General Hospital”.

    The Sector Commander, however, advised motorists to avoid over speeding and ensure they abide by all the rules guiding driving.
