The Supreme Court has postponed the appeal brought by the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) challenging the victory of Taraba State Governor Kefas Agbu. The NNPP and its governorship candidate, Prof. Yahaya Sani, contested the outcome of the March 18 governorship election last year, which was affirmed by the Court of Appeal in Abuja. The appellate court held that the allegations of non-compliance, irregularities, and malpractices were not substantiated by the appellants. The Supreme Court, led by Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has reserved judgment after hearing arguments from both sides.
