In a disturbing incident on Monday, suspected cultists allegedly affiliated with a figure known as General ‘Danger’ invaded Egbeh community in Ubie kingdom, Ahoda West Local Government Area of Rivers State. The assailants abducted three individuals, including a woman, with the lifeless bodies later discovered along the Egbeh and Ebiriba Road area of Ubie Kingdom.

Sources from the community revealed that the two male victims, who are now deceased, had a prior altercation with a woman believed to be the mother of General ‘Danger.’ The cult leader, associated with the Iceland cult group in the region, reportedly had a vendetta against the two men.

Before the grim incident unfolded, the quarrel between the deceased males and the alleged mother of General ‘Danger’ escalated, leading to threats of reprisals. The abducted woman was identified as the girlfriend of one of the male victims. Meanwhile, the mother of General ‘Danger’ has reportedly fled the community.

A community source recounted, “We started searching to know where the boys took the three people to. We started hearing gunshots between Egbeh and Ebiriba Road. Later when community people went there, they saw the bodies of the three people that these bad boys have killed.”

The Rivers State Police Command, through its spokesperson Grace Iringe-Koko, a Superintendent of Police, confirmed the incident. Iringe-Koko assured that the police are actively investigating the case to apprehend the suspects and bring them to justice. She stated, “Yes, I’m aware of the incident, three persons were killed, and we are making efforts to ensure that the perpetrators are arrested and made to face justice. The investigation is ongoing as we speak.”
