Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), was honored with the Exceptional & Quality Leadership Award by the Coalition of Pentecostal Bishops. The award ceremony took place at the NCPC head office in Abuja on November 30, 2023.

In his remarks, Rev. Pam expressed his gratitude to the Coalition of Pentecostal Bishops for recognizing his leadership and presenting him with the prestigious award. He mentioned that he was delighted to receive words of praise from the delegation.

Rev. Pam acknowledged the challenges he has faced since his appointment as the Executive Secretary, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the cessation of federal government funding for pilgrimage. However, he proudly mentioned that despite these obstacles, he has successfully organized six pilgrimage exercises since assuming office.

He highlighted the crisis in the State of Israel, which has affected the pilgrimage to that destination. Rev. Pam emphasized that pilgrimage has become a spiritual retreat for Christians and explained the upcoming Rome and Greece Pilgrimage exercise in 2024. He disclosed that preparations are underway, and the pilgrimage leaders and managers will conduct a pre-visit to ensure readiness for the upcoming exercise.

Rev. Pam commended the Coalition of Pentecostal Bishops for their national consciousness and appealed for their prayers for the Commission. He expressed his belief in a bright future for the NCPC and stated that with their prayers, the Commission would remain focused and continue to shine as a beacon in the nation.

The leader of the Coalition of Pentecostal Bishops delegation, Bishop Dr. Joseph Stanley, expressed great delight in meeting with the Executive Secretary. He mentioned that their forum has been praying for the nation, the president, and the Commission. Bishop Joseph described Rev. Pam as a man of high repute, a seasoned preacher of the word of God, and a born leader sent by God. He encouraged Rev. Pam not to lose focus and to remain undeterred by any challenges that may arise.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the Exceptional & Quality Leadership Award plaque to Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam in recognition of his outstanding leadership.
