Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel criticized the crowded fixture list, stating that it is “not for the good of the game and not for the good of the players.” Bayern is set to play against Cologne in the Bundesliga on Friday, just 24 hours after some of their first XI players returned to Munich following the international break. Tuchel expressed concern about the tight schedule, emphasizing the mental and physical exhaustion of the players. He attributed the scheduling challenges to television rights and TV stations choosing teams. Tuchel pointed out that playing on Friday after international breaks affects player performance and is a recurring issue for teams in the league. Bayern faced similar scheduling challenges in September and dropped points in a draw against Bayer Leverkusen. Tuchel highlighted the demanding nature of the current schedule and its impact on player well-being.
