    Kogi Guber: YPP Candidate Assures Women of 50% Representation.

    Dr. Sam Omale, Governorship Candidate of the Young Peoples Party, has assured of fifty percent representation for women in the State if voted in the forthcoming November 11 Governorship election.

    The Governorship Candidate made the disclosure while addressing Kogi Women Constituency Lead at a program organized to dialogue with Candidates for the Kogi State Governorship Election 2023 and signing of the Women Charter of Demand.

    Dr. Omale described women as receivers, multipliers, described women as important component of any nation, assured them of 50:50 representation between men and women if elected.

    The YPP Governorship Candidate described the coming Governorship election as most consequential in the State’s history, said the Governorship election should not be reduced
    to that of ethnic consideration.

    He called for issues based campaign, said he has done a spot analysis that shows that women and Youth population of the State, put at 1.8m population, makes women as critical stakeholders in the forthcoming election, urged them not to turn into one of ethnic sentiments.

    Dr. Omale described the problem of Kogi State election over the years as ethnicity, urged the people to avoid anybody who plays the card of ethnicity.

    While pointing out that the problem of Kogi State over the years has remained a product of 32 years of poor leadership, corruption, insisting that women now have the opportunity to change the narratives.

    Dr. Omale urged Kogi people to change the narratives of violence during election, promised to tackle insecurity using technology and in growing the State’s economy.

    He promised to grow the State economy from 7-10%, said as a development economists, agriculture will be made a priority as well as technologically driven.

    He assured that he will revitalize the tourism sector of the State, urged Kogi women to vote from their heart and with informed decision.

    Highlights of the Dialogue session was the signing of the charter of demand and peace pact by the YPP Governorship Candidate.
