The Senate has called upon Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, as well as Health and FCT Ministers Ali Pate and Nyesom Wike, regarding the tragic demise of Ms. Greatness Olorunfemi at Maitama General Hospital last Tuesday. Olorunfemi fell victim to ‘one chance’ criminals who stabbed and threw her out of a vehicle along the Maitama/Kubwa Highway. Despite being taken to Maitama General Hospital, she was not attended to due to a lack of a police report, leading to her unfortunate demise.

Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong sponsored a motion in the Senate, prompting its committees on health and police to conduct a thorough investigation into Olorunfemi’s death. The Senate expects a report within two weeks and is calling for legal action against Maitama General Hospital for manslaughter.
