Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina will be unavailable for the upcoming Super Eagles friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique this month due to an injury setback. This unfortunate news was officially confirmed by his Premier League club, Nottingham Forest.
The injury has already caused Aina to miss Nottingham Forest’s recent home match against Brentford, and as of now, there is no definite return date for his recovery. Forest manager Steve Cooper revealed that Ola Aina is dealing with muscle injuries, which have ruled him out of these crucial fixtures.
Aina had received a call-up to represent the Super Eagles in their upcoming matches. Nigeria’s national team is scheduled to face the Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia in Portimão, Portugal, on Friday, October 13. Additionally, they will take on the Mambas of Mozambique in the same city three days later.
All the players are expected to assemble at the training camp in Faro, Portugal, on Tuesday, October 10, as they prepare for these international encounters. However, due to his injury, Ola Aina will be unable to join his teammates on the field for these important fixtures.
