Egypt and Algeria lead the tally with three referees each on the list. Four VAR referees were selected, hailing from Mauritius, South Africa, Morocco, and Egypt. Additionally, seven technical instructors and physical trainers were chosen from Zimbabwe, Burundi, Cote D’Ivoire, Senegal, Morocco, and Djibouti.

It’s worth noting that the Super Eagles of Nigeria are among the 24 nations set to compete for the title in the 2023 AFCON finals. The tournament will be hosted by Cote d’Ivoire and is scheduled to take place from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
