    “Trailer Crashes into Commercial Bus in Edo, Resulting in 15 Deaths”

    A tragic accident occurred in Okpella, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State, where a trailer collided with a commercial bus, resulting in the death of at least 15 people. The articulated vehicle, coming from the Lokoja-Okene road, reportedly had a brake failure, leading to the collision with the Toyota bus carrying passengers.

    Eyewitnesses recounted the incident, which left 15 individuals dead, with their bodies being taken to the mortuary. The injured were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. As of the time of reporting, calls and messages to the Edo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Paul Okpe, had not received a response.

    In response to the tragic accident, the Etsako East Local Chairman, Hon. Benedicta Attoh, expressed condolences to the families of the victims and the Okpella community. She extended sympathies and prayers for the recovery of the injured, acknowledging the profound sorrow caused by the loss of lives in such a tragic manner.
