The Kano State Police Command, in line with its constitutional duty to maintain law and order, has implemented a strict 24-hour curfew in the state. This decision comes in response to the recent tribunal judgment and is aimed at preserving peace and security within the region.

Residents of Kano State are urged to take note of this curfew, which was communicated by the State Government via letter with Reference No: K/SEC/H/435/T.1/153 dated 20th September, 2023. The curfew commenced at 6pm on Wednesday, 20th September, and is scheduled to conclude at 6pm on Thursday, 21st September, 2023.

Security forces have been strategically deployed throughout the state, including at entry and exit points, to enforce this curfew order. It is imperative for all residents to strictly adhere to this directive. Any individuals found in violation of the curfew will be promptly arrested and subjected to the full force of the law.

The Kano State Police Command appreciates the cooperation of the peace-loving people of the state and calls upon everyone to maintain law and order during this critical period. It is in the collective interest of all citizens to work together in upholding peace and security within the state.
