    Published on

Brighton’s midfielder, Moises Caicedo, has been excluded from the lineup for their final pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano, amidst ongoing transfer speculations involving Chelsea. Multiple bids from Chelsea have targeted Caicedo, prompting Brighton’s decision. According to Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth, Seagulls’ manager Roberto De Zerbi opted to give Caicedo a full weekend off to ensure his focus on the Premier League season opener against Luton Town. With the departures of N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic, Chelsea is keen on acquiring Caicedo. Although discussions between the two clubs have been ongoing, negotiations have not yielded significant progress, with Brighton maintaining their valuation.
