The All Progressives Congress (APC) has emphasized that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Candidate, deserves full protection under the law as a Nigerian citizen. The statement came after allegations by the PDP of a foiled attack on Atiku’s residence.

APC criticized the PDP for engaging in falsehoods and politicizing serious security matters following their defeat in the last presidential election. The APC also pointed out that the PDP had previously made baseless allegations, including claims of the APC attempting to influence the judiciary and pending election petition cases.

The APC stressed the seriousness of acts of terror and involvement in terrorist plots as heinous crimes, and called on the authorities to thoroughly investigate any threats to Atiku’s safety and prosecute offenders.

While defending their legitimate election mandate in court, the APC stated that they would continue to focus on Tinubu’s strategic social and economic development programs, aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians.
