LP Denies Reports of Peter Obi’s Presidential Run in 2027

    Published on

The LP (Labour Party) has issued a statement refuting recent reports claiming that His Excellency Peter Obi, former Governor of Anambra State, granted an interview where he discussed plans to run for the presidency in 2027. The party categorically denies the existence of any such interview with Arise TV or any other media organization.

According to the LP, the publication in the Daily Post and subsequent circulation on social media platforms is an example of sensationalistic journalism that aims to manipulate public perception. They assert that Peter Obi, who recently returned from an overseas trip, did not engage in any interview, be it in Nigeria or abroad, where he expressed intentions to contest the presidency in 2027.

The LP emphasizes the importance of responsible journalism and raises concerns about the credibility of certain media outlets. They urge the public to disregard the false information and be cautious of the narratives presented by some sections of the media.
