    35 bag first class as FULokoja graduates 5,051 at 9th convocation

    A total of thirty-five students have graduated with first class honours at the 9th convocation ceremony scheduled for Saturday,18th October,2025.

    This out of the five- thousand and fifty graduands who has completed their course of studies.

    The Vuce-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi who disclosed this at pre-convocation press briefing at the Felele campus of the school on Monday explained that a total 760 students will graduate with second class upper and 2,287 with second class lower while 383 students will graduate with third class with one pass bringing the total undergraduates who will be convocating on Saturday to 3,466

    Speaking further, Professor Akinwumi disclosed that “747 students graduated with Diploma while 838 are postgraduate comprising of Ph.D, Master’s and Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in various field of studies.”

    He noted that they will be conferred with the certificates of the institution having been found worthy in character and learning.

    Reeling out some of the achievements of his administration, the Vice Chancellor, said under his leadership the university has grown from a modest institution into multi-faculty university with robust academic offering.

    “New faculties and programmes established are Agriculture, Pharmaceutical Science, Allied Medical Sciences, Engineering , Environmental Sciences, Law, medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences (B.MLS) and Educational Management within the faculty of Education,” he said.

    According to him, the expansion of faculties and programmes has repositioned the university as a comprehensive tertiary institution that addresses critical national manpower needs and aligns with global educational trends.

    He appealed to well meaning individuals, corporate organizations and religious leaders from Kogi state and outside to come to the school and invest in the area of accommodation.

    The Vice Chancellor thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the governing council of the university and Hon. Abiodun Faleke for their immeasurable support to the institution

    He said that the 9th convocation ceremony will span seven days starting from Monday ,14 the October to Sunday,20th October
