‎A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and strong supporter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Engr Anselm Ijebor, has said persistent attacks on Peter Obi will only guarantee his victory in the 2027 presidential election.

    ‎

‎Ijebor, who spoke with journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, said the attacks are strengthening Obi’s acceptability, widening his popularity and projecting his capacity, policies and programmes.

    ‎

‎According to him, Obi’s message aligns with good governance and the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians tired of hardship.

    ‎

‎He said his conviction to support Obi is driven by a genuine desire to grow the economy and salvage Nigeria from artificial suffering, abject poverty and backwardness.

    ‎

‎“Peter Obi will be overwhelmingly voted for in the forthcoming presidential election. His progressive records during his 8 years as governor in Anambra State are enough to speak for him,” Ijebor said.

    ‎

‎He said Obi’s consistent campaign to cut bloated cost of governance and move Nigeria to a production-driven economy has resonated with citizens.

    ‎

‎Ijebor added that Obi’s commitment to security, education and poverty alleviation has drawn positive remarks from Nigerians seeking a departure from traditional politics.

    ‎

‎He urged Nigerians to protect their votes and demand transparent and credible polls in 2027.

    ‎

‎According to him, prominent figures are aligning with Obi’s reform agenda, reinforcing confidence in his leadership capacity ahead of the polls.

    ‎

‎“President Bola Tinubu might announce Peter Obi himself as winner of the 2027 presidential election,” he said, insisting Obi will win.

    ‎

‎Ijebor further assured that Obi and his running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, will win if elections are free, fair and credible.

    ‎

‎He described Obi as a visionary leader with progressive records, ideas and intellect to deliver Nigeria, adding that he has sought divine guidance on presidential elections since 2007.
