‎England international, Bukayo Saka, is prepared to take risks with his fitness in pursuit of international success by declaring himself ready for England’s opening World Cup clash against Croatia.

‎The Arsenal winger has been managing a persistent Achilles problem in recent months, raising concerns about his availability ahead of England’s Group L opener in Dallas.

‎Manager Thomas Tuchel previously revealed that Saka had been unable to train on consecutive days before the tournament, prompting speculation over his condition.

‎However, the 24-year-old has now moved to reassure supporters, stating that elite footballers often play through physical discomfort when representing their country on the biggest stage.

‎“As players, it’s the biggest gamble, especially when you’re not feeling your sharpest. You have the choice of not playing, or putting yourself out there knowing people will judge you in exactly the same way,” Saka said.

‎The winger’s comments underline his determination to contribute to England’s campaign despite lingering fitness concerns.

‎Saka has become one of England’s most influential attacking players in recent years and is expected to play a central role in Tuchel’s plans as the Three Lions seek World Cup glory.

‎His willingness to push through pain highlights the sacrifices often required during major tournaments, where players face intense physical and mental demands over a condensed period.

‎England enter the competition among the favourites and know that a positive start against Croatia could provide crucial momentum for the remainder of the group stage.
