    Published on

Ahead of their Round of 16 clash against England, Super Falcons’ captain Onome Ebi asserts that the team is fully prepared for the upcoming challenge. The West African team, having navigated a challenging group with co-hosts Australia and Olympic champions Canada, faces yet another formidable test at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Despite a difficult group, Randy Waldrum’s side remains unbeaten with one victory and two draws. The upcoming match against European champions England, scheduled at Lang Park, Brisbane, sees them as favorites. Ebi, however, affirms the Super Falcons’ readiness for the upcoming task. In a video shared on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Twitter handle, she expressed her confidence, stating, “I feel motivated, I feel strong, I feel prepared. We’ve dedicated this entire year to this moment. It’s as if the World Cup is just beginning for us. Our past achievements are behind us; this marks the true commencement of the World Cup, and we are fully prepared. The team is enthusiastic, and the team’s spirit is positive.”
