    2023: Labour party Reps candidate promises efficient representation in Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro Federal constituency

    The Labour2023:Labour party candidate promises effecient representation in Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro Federal constituency Party candidate for the Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro Federal Constituency, High Chief Peter Ameh has assured people of the area of his commitment to offer effective and efficient representation if given the mandate.

    Ameh promised to initiate quality legislation which will improve the socio-economic well-being of his constituents and Igalaland.

    Chief Ameh made the promise while appearing on the Kogi NUJ Media Parley for National Assembly contestants in Lokoja, Kogi State capital, on Monday.

    Ameh stressed that he will pursue his primary functions of lawmaking with vigour and will not disappoint his constituents if voted into office.

    He said his time in the lower chamber of the National Assembly will herald a season of unparalleled improvement in the socio-economic well-being of the people by bringing development to the area.

    The LP candidate promised to ensure that legislation for the development of agriculture takes precedence over other issues, positing that a hungry man is an angry man.

    According to the business man, the attainment of self-sufficiency in food and the security of lives and property will drastically mitigate the scourge of poverty amongst the people.

    He promised to create employment opportunities for the teeming youths of his constituency if elected.

    While expressing readiness to address the socioeconomic challenges of the area, Ameh promised to work in synergy with the constituents for greater results.

    The House of Reps hopeful promised to bring his wealth of experience in politics to promote good governance.

    He promised to sponsor people oriented bills and ensure that matters that have positive impact on lives and the well-being of members of his constituency are pursued vigorously.

    He said he’s in the race for the coveted seat to provide positive and an all inclusive representation, which according to him, had been lacking in the constituency.

    The candidate explained that he has the capacity and experience to clinch the ticket given his capacity and ability to keep his promises, arguing that structure lies with the people.

    He alluded that making laws was the major function of the House of Representatives as an arm of National Assembly, promising to turn the fortune of the people of the area around.

    He promised to provide fresh ideas and energy that will better the lot of his people, stressing that the empowerment and engagement of the youths will be made a priority in order to transform society.

    He also expressed confidence of clinching the ticket, given the enormous goodwill he enjoys in the constituency and the growing popularity of the party across the nook and cranny of the country, and particularly in the Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro federal constituency.

    He eulogised and applauded journalists for their contributions to nation building, and sustainance of democracy.

    He said journalists deserve better deal in the discharge of their duties, given the sacrifices made to entrench good governance, and advocated for improved living condition.

    Earlier in his opening remarks, the State NUJ chairman, Comrade Adeiza Momojimoh said the media parley was intended to provide the platform for aspiring politicians to ventilate their plans and programs for the people and constituents.

    He assured the political gladiators of the commitment of members of the union to educate and inform the populace through wide coverage and reportage.
