He said it was that conviction that made him and his colleagues to vigorously fight for the passage of the not-too-young-to-run Bill
“As a member of the 8th Senate of the National Assembly, I worked tenaciously in concert with my other distinguished colleagues to push for a legislation that mainstream the participation of youths in Nigeria’s political system and that of course, gave birth to the not too young to run Act that reduced the age for persons seeking elective position to 25 years.
The Senator who is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers stated, stressing further that as the Senator Representing Edo Central Senatorial District, 80% of his constituency empowerment programmes have been focused and targeted at youths adding that the initiative has in no small measure helped in engaging youths productively, thereby making them valuable assets in the development of his Senatorial District.
“As the 2023 general elections draw near, I want to urge you all to carry out your campaigns and mobilisations in the most civil manner available. There is no need to involve in bantering that tends to defame the image and characters of your political opponents
” I urge Nigeria youths to obey the clarion call, come together and lift Nigeria high”, he said .
